Shooting Sadie's birth was such a beautiful experience. Each birth is so unique and powerful in its own way and I always feel incredibly honored to be a part of it. It was a two-day event, as Taylor and Kevin spent several hours at the birth center on Monday evening, sure it was time, but not progressing enough. We decided to go to dinner and go back to the Deal's apartment and see how the night went. Amazingly, I got nearly a full night's sleep on their sofa bed, and over breakfast the next morning, Taylor's water broke and we were soon on our way back.
Birth is truly my favorite thing to photograph and Sadie's birth was no exception. Enjoy these highlights from an emotional and beautiful two days.
